Aberdeen-based Don-Mor Safety has introduced an innovative new life-saving product to the commercial fishing market – fishermen’s oilskins with built-in buoyancy.

The traditional style of bib & braces trousers has 50 Newtons of flotation in the front and back bibs and is practical, hard-wearing, light and comfortable. There are no mechanical parts to maintain or bits to snag on machinery, nets, lines etc.

With matching jacket, it helps to keep a person afloat and warm and prevents clothes from becoming water-logged and heavy.

The product, designed and produced by Regatta of Norway, was the winner of 2008 Fishing News Safety Award and is available in sizes ranging from Small to XXL.
